CatBookCat is a personal project, with which I am keeping tabs on several cats who have touched me in very special ways. While I believe every cat is unique and deserves love and attention, for each of us there are special friends who rise above the rest. These cats documented are only so special because they have changed my life in some unique way, and I will do my best to tell their story as I have seen it.

Every cat listed shall be presented with a photograph, special name and information, a short story by myself, and a hand drawn image by =Oviot.

I do this in memory of my late cat, Neko. He passed away after 13 years of incredible friendship; however, he did so without so much of a photograph or two words written about him. He was my very best friend for so long, and I made a promise to him that I would not forget him or any other cat who has changed my life ever again

I also wanted to include =Oviot's Hande in the cover as well. I made a promise to my very best friend that I would see her and meet her cats - after all, she had helped me so much with my project, and still does. I made that promise, both to her, and to Hande. Sadly, I never got to meet Hande - he passed away before I got that chance. Hande will now be a part of the CBC cover, in honor to him and every other cat that I was simply too late in meeting

To Neko - thank you for thirteen years of wonderful friendship! You were my very best friend, and I thank you every day

To Hande - I regret deeply being unable to fulfill my promise to meet you, but I can make another promise, for what it's worth - I will never forget you

While I cannot possibly document with any degree of accuracy or faithfulness every cat that I have met (I have met 200+), I would like this project to be a tribute to every cat who has ever walked this earth. Big and small, tough and shy; young and old, fancy and plain. This is for all cats, each one who is a very best friend
